Mountaineer Kings of War GT 2017 Awards & Trophies

Each game had a potential 20 Battle Points, for a total possible 120 Battle Points over the course of the tournament. Appearance had a potential 30 Appearance Points and Sports a potential 30 Sports Points.

The Mountaineer

The Mountaineer was the overall trophy, representing total dominance over every field of play. The Mountaineer was the player with the most points out of Battle + Appearance + Sports.

The 2017 Mountaineer was George O’Connell from the SEC. Congrats, George!

Best Battle

Best Battle was the player receiving the highest number of Battle Points. In the event that this would be The Mountaineer, Best Battle goes to the next-highest Battle Points.

The 2017 Best Battle for the Mountaineer GT was Keith Fox from the Northeast. Congrats, Keith!

Second-Best Battle

Second-Best Battle was the player receiving the next-highest number of Battle Points after Best Battle.

The 2017 Second-Best Battle was Alex Chaves from the Mid Atlantic. Congrats, Alex!

Best Appearance

Best Appearance was the player receiving the highest number of Appearance Points, often known as “Best Painted”.

The 2017 Best Appearance for the Mountaineer GT was Mike Adkins from the Mid Atlantic. Congrats, Mike!

Second-Best Appearance

Second-Best Appearance was the player receiving the next-highest number of Appearance Points after Best Appearance.

The 2017 Second-Best Appearance went to Tony Nelson of the Mid Atlantic. Congrats, Tony!

Best Sports

Best Sports went to the player receiving the highest number of Sports Points as voted on by opponents.

The 2017 Best Sports for the Mountaineer GT was Jesse Cornwell from the Mid Atlantic. Congrats, Jesse!

Second-Best Sports

Second-Best Sports went to the player receiving the next-highest number of Sports Points after Best Sports, as voted on by opponents.

The 2017 Second-Best Sports went to Noah Nathanson of the Northeast. Congrats, Noah!

The Wooden Spoon

Last, and, truthfully, least, we had the Wooden Spoon award for out last-place finisher.

The 2017 Wooden Spoon went to Kevin Harrison. Sorry, Kevin!
